Patrick Gergen is American and the CEO and Co-Founder of AmeriCan Multifamily Alliance Group LLC and Bella Vista Management LP.

He has held leadership roles in various segments of the real estate industry for 30 years. During that time, he has also been an active investor.

Patrick’s areas of expertise include deal analysis, asset management, construction management, acquisitions, and impact investing. He also specializes in distressed property takeovers, after which he increases asset value through strategic upgrades, rebranding, and financial stabilization.

Since 2011, Patrick has followed a proven business model that has been ideal for investors, multifamily property residents, and the environment. His focus is on buildings with a large “value-add??? component, which enables investors to recycle their original capital after bank refinancing’s and obtain ownership in multiple buildings using the same capital. He oversees expansion and acquisitions of American Multifamily Alliance Group.

Patrick and his partner in business and in life Madi Gergen have committed as part of their business plan to making a positive impact socially and environmentally throughout their communities. They have proven that focusing on improving the lives of their residents and being good environmental stewards translates to lower expenses and increased profits. Patrick and Madi ensure a deep commitment to this mission throughout their organizations by self-managing all assets.

Patrick’s background includes a stint as regional project manager for a national commercial developer in the U.S. During that tenure, he built a reputation as an expert at analyzing deals and understanding market fundamentals, including the best locations in which to purchase multifamily properties.

Patrick is a visionary who enjoys leading teams to success. He is disciplined, compassionate, has a strong work ethic, and relentlessly pursues excellence in all areas of his life. Above all, Patrick is a man of high integrity.

Patrick is a long-standing member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and has served on several board positions, most recently as YPO’s current Chair for the Pacific One Chapter. He is in his third year attending the YPO/Columbia Business School CEO Academy and has attended Penn State University. Patrick resides in the U.S. and Canada with his wife Madi and their seven children. He enjoys reading and the great outdoors.

Madeleine Gergen is the Co-Founder and President of AmeriCan Multifamily Alliance Group LLC and Bella Vista Management LP overseeing several multifamily properties in the United States and her home country Canada. Over the last two decades, Madi has achieved great success in numerous categories within the real estate industry. Her background includes expertise in negotiation, property analysis, due diligence, acquisitions, marketing, property management, takeovers, stabilization and most importantly, value-add of commercial and residential properties.

She and her husband/business partner Patrick Gergen are currently focused on takeovers of B and C class multifamily assets in Texas. They have a proven track record of restructuring and rebranding real estate projects with financial acumen, persistence, attention to detail, and social conscience.

Madi, who also oversees operations of Bella Vista Management, is passionate about creating a positive social impact in the lives of the residents living in AmeriCan Multifamily Alliance Group communities. She does this through initiatives including but not limited to organizing free after-school programs, meal programs, tutoring, regular monthly community events, sports programs, parenting classes and youth-at-risk programs. Additionally, she focuses on sustainability, teaching her team and residents about the importance of making a positive environmental impact through recycling, composting, tree planting, and installing energy saving devices in all units.

Madi has been instrumental in the success of AmeriCan Multifamily Alliance Group, and is known for her strong work ethic, high integrity, forward-thinking approach to business, and relentless pursuit of projects that yield a strong return for their investors.

A member of the Real Estate Investment Network (REIN) in Canada since 2002, Madi is a Diamond-level performer and is widely respected by industry peers and colleagues. She has earned many honors including:

Madi resides in the U.S. and Canada with her husband Patrick and their seven children. She enjoys traveling and singing.

Operations Manager

Martha Roque is the Operations Manager for Bella Vista Management LP and has been in the Multifamily sector since 2007.  She began as a leasing professional and has climbed the multifamily corporate ladder to her current position as Operations Manager.  Throughout her 12 years in the multifamily sector Martha has been mentored by some of the best operators in the business.  Her background includes take overs, deal analysis, due diligence, value add, repositioning and rebranding of the assets and most importantly leading successful teams.   Martha has been instrumental in the success of Bella Vista Management LP and communicates with the owners daily.  She is considered the go-to-person when the unexpected happens and is hands-on and constantly on site ensuring smooth performance of the assets. She also speaks fluent Spanish and English.

Martha lives with her husband and 4 children in Dallas, TX.  She enjoys riding horses, spending time with family and going for long walks on the beach.

Tess joined the American Multifamily team in June of 2013 as the Financial Controller. She has over 20 years of experience in the Accounting Field, formerly holding positions in Public Accounting firms, Corporate Accounting for Land Development and Real Estate Firms, as well as being a licensed Commercial Real Estate agent specializing in Multifamily.

As the Financial Controller, Tess oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, including all Financial preparation and reporting, cash management, establishment of internal controls, GAAP compliance, business processes, policies & procedures and audit functions, as well as insurance management.

She graduated from West Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree and with a Master of Science in Accounting degree from The University of Texas at Dallas.

Tess is a Native Texan and lives on a small ranch with her husband, where they raise miniature cattle and donkeys. She is an active member for several animal rescue organizations, The Resource Center of Dallas, The DGLA, JDRF Dallas Chapter, and regularly volunteers at the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.

Robert Gonzalez has been the CPA for AmeriCan Multifamily Alliance Group since it’s inception in 2011. He began his public accounting career in 1992. He is a graduate from Florida International University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his Masters Degree in Taxation (“honors”). He has extensive experience in servicing privately owned companies, business owners, individuals as well as international clients. His background includes servicing small to mid-sized businesses in various industries including technology, service, legal, health care, marketing, wholesale, retail, and distributors.

Additionally, Robert has also worked extensively in the Real Estate Taxation area, including assisting developers, real estate investors, construction companies, r/e management, and commercial & residential property rental entities maximize overall tax benefits.

Robert’s public accounting experience includes working for Berkowitz, Dick, Pollack & Brant in Miami, FL until his move to Texas at the end of 2003. In Texas, Robert worked for Henry, Held & Reilly (now Clifton Larson Allen) where he was a Tax Principal.

Donna Carter has worked in the commercial real estate finance industry since 1990.  Prior to forming Legacy Commercial Capital LP, Donna was the head of underwriting for the Dallas office of a national commercial lender who specialized in Fannie Mae and CMBS lending.  She took her expertise in commercial lending and in February 1997, formed Legacy Commercial Capital to provide clients with a higher level of representation. She has an extensive institutional lending background through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Life Co, HUD and CMBS sources as well as having many established significant relationships with local and national banks and financial institutions. Donna has been involved in over $6 billion of real estate lending transactions throughout the United States. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas.  She is actively involved in the community with non-profit organizations and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store of Dallas which provides resources and assistance to those in need.
